Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana

After exploring Southeast Montana, we drove a few hours west to Big Sky, Montana near Yellowstone National Park. Now this is the place to be! It's a winter wonderland full of snow, rustic cabins, winter activities, and romantic sleigh rides. This is definitely a spot to come with a lover (or just a group of your besties!).

Lone Mountain Ranch

Lone Mountain Ranch is a cozy and intimate spot with adorable cabins to rent. We stayed in the Cougar Cabin and loved the quaint fireplaces! There's a saloon, cafeteria, and cafe located near the cabins to keep you fed and caffeinated, and the resort is perfect for snowshoeing, nordic skiing, or skiing at Big Sky. Lone Mountain Ranch was voted the best place for nordic skiing in North America, so of course we had to try it! It was tons of fun, even though there are no photos!

All of the snow is just so gorgeous!

In the evening, we enjoyed the saloon at Lone Mountain Ranch where we sipped on craft cocktails and some beer from local breweries while listening to some live music! No better way to spend a night in the mountains, right? Well, it got better...

Sleigh Ride Dinner in Big Sky

Lone Mountain Ranch has an amazing sleigh ride dinner! The whole adventure is SO romantic and SO much fun. First, you cuddle up in the sleigh as the horses take you through a dark, snowy forest and up to an isolated and cozy candlelit cabin.

Once you get to the cabin, you're served a delicious prime rib dinner, where everything is served family-style as you get to mingle with other guests, make new friends, and relax while being serenaded by a cowboy. You can bring your own ride on the sleigh ride to enjoy during dinner too!

After the sleigh ride home (no big deal), we warmed our toes by the fire and made 'smores in our cabin! Now this is a view to wake up to...
